Terms of sale

These terms are a draft for Paperless Shelf (paperlessshelf.store). They describe the intended sale of digital books. They are not in force until the owner reviews them and checkout is actually open.

The product

A purchase is a license to download and keep a DRM-free EPUB and/or PDF of the title you bought, for your personal use. You don’t receive the copyright. You may not resell the file, post the download link, or share the file publicly.

Delivery

After an order is paid, we email a personal link. The link allows a limited number of downloads (currently three) and then expires. The expiry and the remaining downloads are shown on the download page. The file you save is yours to keep, subject to the personal-use limit above.

Checkout

Payments are not accepted on this site yet. Placing a title in the cart, or leaving an email for a launch note, does not create an order and does not charge you.

Accounts and conduct

Don’t try to guess other people’s download links, scrape the catalog in a way that degrades the site, or use the store to send unsolicited mail. We may refuse a sale that looks abusive.
